- Decreased video memory usage by about 30% – depending on your farm configuration, if you had before a 750MB giant maxed out farm, now it’s below 500 MB. Now the game can run even on mobile phones, in our tests! Although, obviously, the UI is currently not optimized for that. But on tablets with a mouse, certainly it should run OK. AND, we have a few more optimizations to do.
- Improved animations for selling with the Train
- Improved a few Orders graphics
- Animations for the HUD buttons going on/off are way faster, as originally intended.
- All Gear with selectors now have bigger popups, so you can easily select what you make. We now have the same layout for 3 types of Gear: Kitchen type (that uses Power), Complex Gear (like the Sauce Wiz), and Simpler Gear (that you “add 3”, like the Cheese Master)
So, what have we been up to? (Developer Notes) Well, during the last few (actually, many) months, we’ve been really busy with two big things: bringing you several quality-of-life improvements and preparing for the Facebook migration towards Instant Games. We received notice that we can migrate the existing game, including Neighbors, game IDs, and more, to Instant Games, so we’ve been getting ready for that. We originally estimated this would take just 2 weeks. But here we are, 6 months later, finally wrapping it up. Why so long? Because it turned into a complete rewrite of much of the game’s interface. Rewriting an existing game is harder than starting from scratch, since everything ties deep into existing code. The game has tons of usability features that make farming easier for you, but much trickier for us to maintain (though still fun, since we play the game too). It’s like replacing the pollen filter in certain cars: you think it’s just one panel, but then another is in the way, which connects to the dashboard, and before you know it you’ve taken apart the whole car just to change a filter. The workload was massive, like developing several events back-to-back. And because the changes ran so deep, we couldn’t even push small updates. There were literally hundreds of tasks that had to be completed. We still have to update the XP and Neighbors sections, but those will take less time since they’re mostly cosmetic changes. Was this really necessary? Absolutely. Here’s why:
- You now have many new quality-of-life features that make the game more fun and easier to use than ever, like search and the new planting shop.
- The Shop and Barn interface can now adapt to many screen sizes, big or small. To change layout, click on the little 4 squares icon bottom left in the Shop and Barn windows.
- All your produce is now displayed bigger and sharper, with many redesigned or upscaled icons.
- Facebook is sunsetting Web Games at the end of 2026. They notified us that we can migrate the game to Instant Games (their current game store), which means more Neighbors and easier discoverability for our Facebook players.
During this long stretch, we also found time to work on two big updates (Update 3/3 and another highly requested one), both of which turned out to be much higher quality than we originally planned. We’ll be releasing one of them next, but we don’t ship updates just for the sake of it. We keep working until everything is as close to perfect as possible, although we can’t wait to share it with you! Happy farming!
- New quality-of-life feature: Smart Replanting!
Press Z while in planting mode (when a plant is attached to your cursor), and a lightbulb icon with a plant inside will appear. This works for Multitool too.
With Smart Replanting enabled, you’ll automatically replant the last planted Shrub or Tree, as shown on the sign!
Note: The “Show last planted Tree/Shrub sign” options must be enabled (Settings, page 2).
Happy easier farming! 🙂 - Sheep Salon and Shade
- Added the option to remove the Sheep Salon, leaving only the Shade, for players who purchased the Sheep Salon. Just click repeatedly on the table with magazines to toggle this mode. The sheep will still produce Silver-quality Wool even without the Salon.
Previously, with the Cow Shade, you could place just the regular Shade and still get Silver-quality Milk. But for sheep, you were forced to keep the full Salon in order to get Silver-quality Wool.
We understand that sometimes you just want a more classic farm look and still produce quality Wool. This update addresses that issue. - Now the Sheep sits down after a while being idle.
- Regarding player concerns about the Sheep Salon’s appearance: As we’ve stated before, we have a clear vision and a promise to you about the game’s style and tone:
No pink sheep. No chocolate that grows in trees. No watermelon flip-flops, that you make from watermelons and rubber. No animals that look or act like humans (all dressed-up, with sunglasses, etc). We know most of you care deeply about this, and it’s one of the reasons you play the game. That commitment won’t change.
That said, the Sheep Salon is an animal home. If you browse Amazon, Temu, or similar sites, you’ll find far crazier items people buy for their pets. So, it’s totally plausible that somebody could buy this for their sheep. The sheep doesn’t know it’s a salon, but it enjoys the breeze, the shade, and the pampering. In our view, this is the fine line we walk – staying grounded in realism, while leaving room for believable charm.

- Video Memory improvements when using Complex Gear (as we call them – Kitchen, Craft Shack, and other similar Gear with detailed popups). These now consume significantly less memory.
- fixed a bug where when you clicked to turn of the Zzz animation for the Beehives, it wouldn’t immediately turn off.
- Raccoon:
- Made the Raccoon less shy. Now it has many tricks up the sleeve, reacting to your clicks and walking around the farm.
- Made Tyrone ask less for Kibble, his new price is now 1000 Coins, instead of 3000 Coins; Added the possibility to buy Kibble from Shop > Specials.
- Now the Raccoon brings Harvesting and Planting Templates too.
As stated before, our goal is to make a fun and rewarding game, so we made some of these tweaks based on your feedback regarding the Raccoon. If something doesn’t feel right to us and to you, we’ll continue tweak it until everybody’s happy.
- Now the Neighbors bar is taken into account too when you have Reduced Motion on.
- Added the Easter Breads Collection to the Collections tab.
Breaking News: Raccoon Situation Confirmed
Winners, rejoice: the Raccoon is now officially on the farm. It’s hungry, it’s trashy, and it’s got surprises up its furry little sleeves.
What’s it eating? What’s it really up to? We followed the trail of crumbs.

Bug fixes and improvements:
- Added the option to change your email on the Web Portal.
- Drastically improved the ease of use when creating an account and completing your CLM Profile on the Web Portal.
- Fixed a Cancel button not disappearing when selecting the Themes tool.
- Strawberries & other multiple harvest plants: We’ve added the growth time of the plant (in green) to the Shop cards, so it’s easier to understand.
Strawberries times
The times for the new Strawberries are shorter than before, if you consider the full plant cycle. We do plan to reduce their growth time further, but this will take about a week due to the complexity of the game and how this specific case works.
Worst case scenario: you have Greenhouses (-25%), irrigation (-25%), and you’re in Bellflower Meadow (-15%). That makes calculating exact times tricky, especially with all the possible situations (like removing Greenhouses while Strawberries are growing, using Fertilizer, using Rain, plots running out of water, etc.).
So, for now, they aren’t affected by Greenhouses or irrigation.
Here’s how the times compare:
- Before: 9h base time, but with Greenhouses + irrigation: 4h 30m
Total time for 3 harvests: 13h 30m (since you had to replant twice) - Now: 5h growth time + 2h + 2h + 2h (for 3 harvests)
Total time for 3 harvests: 11h
Plus, you don’t need to replant Strawberries two more times.

New type of Crops: Multiple Harvest Crops – you can now harvest Strawberries and Pineberries multiple times. They behave just as Shrubs, but you plant them on your plots, just as any other Crop.
Bug fixes and improvements:
- Earned Ribbons popups – Tweaked how Ribbon popups work, since at the beginning you’ll earn a lot of the first ones. Now, only the last 3 Ribbons earned will open automatically. The first 4 appear directly in the Achievements window, and you can collect the new extra reward (the tiny gift box) by clicking on them there.
- XP Bar – Increased the size of the wrap-around XP bar from 3 px to 4 px, so it’s more visible.
- XP bar – Added a setting to show the old XP bar, that is the exact same width and height of the old bar, with the XP visible inside it. Settings > Page 4 > Classic XP Bar.
- Reduced motion – At your request, we added a new accessibility setting to reduce motion of UI elements. This affects all popups, not just the new ones, and the buttons, limiting the animations they open and close with, to the point it’s boring (or great, depending on where you stand). Settings > Page 4 > Reduced motion.
- Tooltips (the blue text on white ones) – Increased the contrast, so it’s exactly the same contrast as the old tooltips (brown on cream, or cream on black ones).
- Neighbors Bar – Increased the Neighbors you see in your Bar while on your farm from 5 to 8, just as it was before.
- fixed a bug where the value bars were over the popups.
- fixed a bug where when visiting Neigbors through Market Stand would close the popup to show the Visiting popup, then open the Market stand again. Now it shows that latter over the Market Stand.
- fixed a bug where “Foraging plants growing spree” message delayed other things that needed to appear at your request.
- Tweaked some sounds and graphics for the Baker.
Upcoming tweaks:
- Shorter animations for the Ribbons popups.
- Shorter animations with less motion for the HUD and the Achievements Section.
- All popups will be optimized to open smoothly, using improvements made possible by the recent game engine upgrade.
- Improved HUD button transitions between popups.
We initially estimated this redesign to take 2 weeks, but it took over 2 months. Some modules needed for performance, quality of life, and configurability went much deeper than initially anticipated. The game now loads about 20% faster, and all redesigned popups run smoother, with much less FPS dropping.
In regards to the issues you rightfully mentioned in your feedback about the redesign – what you see on screen is only a small part of it. Most of the work went into rebuilding the UI structure behind the scenes. That’s what now allows us to change and improve things much more easily, based on what we (and you) want, so we’ll continue making tweaks until it’s frictionless. We also can’t wait to show you the new Shop and Barn. They have a flexible layout that works on much more screen sizes, plus some new features we think you’ll really enjoy.
Easter is here! Bug fixes and improvements:
- HUD:
- Several glitches related to the new HUD are fixed, and we’ll continue to refine the interface in the following days, based on your feedback.
- Quests:
- Fixed a Quests glitch that didn’t show how many Quests you had from the Main Story. This rightfully made players who like doing Quests believe there is one very long Quest. We designed them so that a Quest is a single page, for simplicity purposes. Since these Quests were made for new players, they unlock gradually as you level up, not all at once. They’re meant to teach how new items work and encourage you to try them. Although these Quests are not mandatory, we felt bad about the glitch that caused frustration for some players who tried to finish all 30 of them in a day (and some did!!). So we gave 5 RC to everyone who started on these Quests. We strive to make CLM a game where you can have fun and relax.
- Easter Quests
- For the reasons above, we’ve reorganised the Easter Quests into Chapters, each with up to 7 Quests. We’ve also added titles for upcoming Quests, so it’s clearer what’s ahead without spoiling the content. We hope you’ll like this format, as we think it’s more informative without being too revealing.
- The Easter Quests have the same length and difficulty as last year’s Event, with a few necessary additions — such as selling an item you make (thanks to your suggestions!). They’re still in the well-known format: plant, harvest, collect, make, just without skipping some of the final steps. This is why this year you have 7 instead of the usual 4.
- Slightly refreshed the look of a few Crops: Carrots, Rice, Green Beans, Onions.
Happy Easter from the CLM Team!
- HUD redesign! For full details, click here: https://clm.beetree.games/help/general-gameplay/hud-redesign-release-notes
Key features:- New Quest System – Quests have been completely redesigned into a Quest Book with filtering options. They’re now much more accessible and easier to manage. We’ve also introduced several new quests available from the very beginning of the game, so everyone can experience the updated system.
- New Achievements Popups – All ribbons have been updated with a fresh look and a new animation when you earn one. Plus, each ribbon popup now includes an extra reward. There’s also a new Achievement for candles: Let There Be Light.
- Simplified Neighbors Visiting – Clicking on a Neighbor now takes you straight to their Farm. If you’d like to pick a location instead, just hover over their card to choose where to go. You can also switch locations while already visiting. The Neighbors bar enters “visiting mode”, showing up to 20 Neighbors while you’re exploring.
- Improved Value Bars – Value bars (coins, RC, etc.) are now larger and easier to read at a glance. Plus, their width is dynamic, so billionaires don’t feel their cash balance squeezed.
- New XP Progress Bar – The XP bar has been extended and now wraps around the star icon for better visibility. Hover over it to see your exact XP. There’s also a rain cloud warning that appears when you’re close to leveling up—don’t miss the chance to plant before the rain!
- Popup Queue System – When multiple events happen at once, they’re now queued instead of popping up all together. This helps you keep track of what’s going on without missing anything. Popups only clear from the queue when you close them (either by claiming the reward or clicking the close button).
- HUD Themes – you can customize the look of the HUD to your liking from Settings. You can also add or remove some buttons.
- game improvements and optimizations:
- The Settings, Quests, Achievements, and World Map popups have been optimized for better performance. All other popups will receive the same treatment soon.
- Several optimizations have been made to reduce video memory consumption, with more improvements on the way.
If you think we missed a value bar appearing when you have a certain popup open, or if you have suggestions regarding this HUD redesign, feel free to message us! Also, please keep in mind the HUD is in beta, so small glitches may appear in the first hours, until we fix them all.
The Easter Event will follow very soon, we can’t wait to show you this year’s prizes. 🙂
- use Coupon Code VD5CT14 for 5 more Cupid’s Templates.
- surprise! If you’ve completed the Event, you will also win 6 heart-shaped Valentine’s Day Balloons, just like the ones tied to a rock in the Quests window, to decorate your farm on Valentine’s day. Balloons are also available in Shop.
- we’ve also created one 90% off Deal, available for 48 hours.
