Rice, Cranberries and Watercress are the water crops in Country Life Meadows for now. Since these crops require plenty of water, they can only be planted on irrigated plots that have Sprinklers installed.
To set up an irrigation system for your farm and then install Sprinklers, you must first build a Water Well — Buildings tab in the Ranch Shop.
If you’re in Bellflower Meadow, you have to use the Water Well — more info HERE.
The water crops in CLM are: Cranberries, Rice and Watercress.
ATTENTION – Water crops INCLUDE the 25% reduction in growth time for irrigation in the time displayed in the Shop! This is because without an irrigation system, you wouldn’t be able to plant them.
For example, the growth time listed in the Shop for Cranberries is 4 hours. Here’s the growth time for each planting scenario:
- Cranberries on regular plots (not irrigated): 5 hours and 20 minutes — although not possible due to them requiring water
- Cranberries on irrigated plots: 4 hours — 25% off from the 5 hours and 20 minutes
- Cranberries on irrigated plots inside a Greenhouse: 2 hours and 40 minutes — 50% less than the 5 hours and 20 minutes.
Tip: Use Sprinklers to reduce growth time for crops OTHER than water crops by 25%.
Tip: Greenhouses 25% growth reduction time works for ALL crops.
