Winter Event 2025 | Prickly Pals

The Winter Event 2025, called Prickly Pals, appears as an icon at the top-right side of your game window, and is scheduled for 14 days.

Click it and watch some winter magic happen near the lake :). Then, click the Event icon again to see your Event menu.

What are the Prizes?

A. Holiday Candies (Contest 1)

B. The Tool Shed (finish Contest 2)

C. Santa’s Helper Shed Christmas Theme (finish Contest 2 twice)

D. Ice Mountain Sculpture (finish Contest 2, get it after the Event ends)

E. Winter Crops: Black Radish, Bleu de Solaise Leeks, Gigante d’Inverno Spinach, and Celeriac (Contest 3, get them at the end of certain Chapters)

F. The Hedgehog (Grand Prize, finish all three Contests)

A. The Hedgehog (Grand Prize) — Complete all 3 Contests

Meet the Christmas Hedgehog, the Grand Prize of this year’s Holiday Event. Small, round, and always on the move, this little fellow pokes around the farm with inquisitive whiskers, sniffing out everything new. Leave out a few Apples and he will happily stick around, making himself right at home.

In return, he helps keep pesky bugs in check while you work, and every now and then his quiet patrol pays off with a pleasant surprise: when you harvest your crops, you may find a few extra, thanks to the quiet protection of your spiky new farm helper. This feature will also be a part of a future game feature.

B. The Tool Shed – Create Snow Globes

Create Snow Globes in your Craft Shack to complete this Collection and win a Tool Shed! The door of the Tool Shed opens and closes, and you can see the interior, with all the tools required for a decent farm.

Hover with your mouse over the Globe to see how many times you have to “practice” it.

You must “practice” each of the 9 Snow Globes about a dozen times or so in order to make one fit on the Snow Globes Ice Mountain. You can also click the “Contest Progress” menu that appears in the Craft Shack and check your progress.

Click the “Conest Progress” button.

To make the Snow Globes, you will need 5 ingredients. To make sure the Contest has the same level of difficulty as previous Contests, at the beginning of the Event we gifted you most of the required special ingredients.

1. Figurine Base (made with Clay)

Make Figurine Bases in the brand-new Gear called the Glass Furnace, which you can buy from the Shop > Gear tab (page 6) for 24,900 Coins. If you’ve reached your limit for Gear, store an existing Gear with the Add to Warehouse Tool.

The Figurine Base is made using Clay. You can get Clay from the Clay Pit in Bellflower Meadow, or from Tyrone’s Market Stand every day (only during the Event). For more info on how to get the Clay Pit, CLICK HERE.

Methane Tank and Methane Uses

Methane is also required to make Figurine Bases. You got 5 Methane Tanks when you start the Event, each Tank having 100 Methane Uses. A Figurine Base (or Snow Globe Dome) requires only 2/100 (2 Uses out of the 100 Methane Uses), so you can make 50 of them with 1 Methane Tank.

2. Snow Globe Dome (made with Silica Sand)

Also made in the Glass Furnace, the Snow Globe Dome requires Silica Sand and 2 Uses of a Methane Tank.

You can get Silica Sand from Longshore Beach, a new area that you can travel to.

How can I travel to Longshore Beach?

You can go to Longshore Beach from the World Map. Hover over your Map icon > open the World Map > click on Joe’s icon next to Longshore Beach and Joe will travel there.

You can also travel to Longshore Beach from Cypress Grove. Just take Joe below the area where you see a cluster of Maritime Pines. For a full guide of Cypress Grove, CLICK HERE.

The way to Longshore Beach from Cypress Grove.

How do I get the Silica Sand?

When you get to Longshore Beach, be ready to clear some clouds, then focus on why you’re there: Silica Sand. Maybe you can get some Scallops and Shells, too, who knows? 🙂

This is what Silica Sand looks like.

How do I get back to my Farm?

Just click the Map icon at the lower-left, then click where you want to go with Joe. In the example below, we selected the Farm. The Truck is (already) there, too, as you can see.

You can also open the World Map again, then click the Joe icon that is on your Farm so he travels there. Your farm’s location is circled below.

3. Dye Kits

You will get some Dye Kits at the start of the contest. The easiest way to get more Dye Kits is to ask your Friends for them, or get them from the Shop. For all the methods to get Dye Kits, CLICK HERE.

4. Beeswax

You can get a maximum of 40 Beeswax per day, depending on how much Honey you collect from your Bees. Your “day” resets every 20 hours based on your own schedule. For the first 5 Honey jars you collect, you receive 4 Beeswax per jar, totalling 20 Beeswax. Then, as you collect the next 25 Honey jars, you’ll receive an additional 20 Beeswax at specific intervals, earning 4 Beeswax after certain jars. So, it’s always 4 Beeswax, at key intervals.

5. Snow Globe Template

This is the “secret ingredient” for the Snow Globes collection, available only during the Winter Event 2025. You can ask your Friends for the Snow Globe Templates, or get them from the Shop.

C. Santa’s Helper Shed Christmas Theme  — Create Snow Globes twice

Complete the Snow Globes Contest a second time to win the Santa’s Helper Shed Christmas Theme (the one that appears when you hover over the brown one in the Event menu). This theme has a different interior, well suited for packing presents for your loved ones.

D. Ice Mountain Sculpture — Create Snow Globes

After the Event ends, you’ll be able to claim the Ice Mountain Sculpture Joe did for you.

E. Winter Crops — Complete Winter Quests

Complete Winter Daily Chapters to unlock the 4 Winter Crops:

  • Black Radish — often called the “winter radish,” becomes milder after frost.
  • Blue de Solaise Leeks — deepen their blue color as temperatures drop, improving their flavor.
  • Gigante d’Inverno Spinach — survives snow and rebounds quickly when it warms up.
  • Celeriac — may look rough, but it has been valued in kitchens for centuries.

General Info

  • There are 7 Chapters of Winter Quests to complete.
  • Each Chapter contains 6–7 Quests.
  • A new Chapter unlocks every 20 hours since opening the previous one.
  • The 4 Winter Crops unlock after finishing Chapters 1, 3, 5, and 7.

Tips

  • One Quest requires Easter Egger Eggs, which can be obtained from Easter Egger Chickens. However, in case you don’t have one yet, the Eggs will be awarded at the start of the Quest.
  • You will also need to make Raisins in another Quest. Here’s a reminder that you make Golden Raisins with Crimson Seedless Grapes, and Red Raisins with Concord Grapes — in the Solar Dryer. Then you make the Raisins Mix with Red Raisins and Golden Raisins in the Spice Shack.
  • Another Quest requires Cranberries. Cranberries are Water Crops and can only be grown on irrigated plots. To irrigate your plots, you’ll need a Water Well and Sprinklers. If you need more information on how to get both, CLICK HERE.

This is the first Quest in the first Chapter. It has some festive decorations on its sides like snow, a wreath, and candy to mark it’s a Winter Event Quest.

Open the Winter Event menu again, click the green “Open Contest” button under the Complete Holiday Quests part (Contest 3) and you will see the info clearer than ever before: what Quest you’re on, how many Quests are left in the current Chapter, and the time until the next Chapter is unlocked.

The Quest you’re currently on is highlighted in green.
You can also see the time until the next Chapter opens.

F. Holiday Candies — Harvest Crops

Harvest Crops daily to find Holiday Candies.

  • You’ll need 349 Candy to finish this part of the Winter Event.
  • Using Rain to instantly grow your crops gives bonus Candies!
  • The event is designed so regular players (like planting in the morning and harvesting in the evening) can find all the Candies by playing each day.
  • Want even more? Extra harvests and Rain both give extra Holiday Candies!
  • Your game “day” resets 20 hours after your first Candies collection, so it follows your schedule. After your “day” resets, you will get more Candies with your next harvest.
  • When the Event ends, you can trade your Candies for OPs!
