The new Barn and Warehouse

The Barn has been completely redesigned, to accommodate more screens and to be easier to read. Below, a comparison between the old Barn (left) and the new one (right).

We kept the same basic layout of 15 items per window. The texts are the same size as in the old layout, but the icons are bigger, so you can easily identify the items you have in your Barn.

A. The new Barn key features

  1. Universal Search – you can now type anything you want to search, and it will search it for you, and also search all related items.

  1. Complete info in tooltips – hover over any item to see all the relevant management information about it.

  1. New Quantity selector – When you’re selling with the Train, fulfilling Orders, sending items to the Truck or Joe’s Backpack, or doing other sell actions, just hover over any item in your Barn to bring up the new Quantity Selector. This lets you clearly see both:
    – how much you have in Barn
    – how much you’re adding to the crates or action

    In the old design, your Barn quantity transformed into the quantity to add, which wasn’t intuitive—especially for new players. It also had some rollover info that didn’t make much sense. The new system keeps things separate and easy to understand, so there’s no more confusion or guesswork.

Other Barn features

  • New Filter by and Sort by options, placed at the top where you expect them, just as any standard modern online shopping site. With thousands of items created, having a powerful filtering system is very important, and makes the Barn usage much more lightweight and fun, if you also add the search feature
  • Quantity/Prices are properly formatted with commas
  • hovering over the Quantity shows the Price, and the other way around
  • A new Sell menu, that links to all possibilities you can get cash from your produce
  • Layout options (bottom left, the 4 squares icon) – you can now choose the layout options that best fits your screen (the main reason we made the new layouts).

B. The new Warehouse features

  1. Gifts and Warehouse are merged – in time, as the game developed, some things were placed randomly in Gifts and Warehouse, in a way that didn’t make much sense and make everything seem more complicated than it was. We now simplified everything, making managing your inventory easier than ever.

You’ll find your Gifts in the Warehouse now, and you can even filter ALL items that you can trade for OP (all Gifts plus other items from Events or from Flower Shop), so you can easily trade tem for OP. Or, type gifts in your Warehouse search bar.

  1. Everything simplified – you now have only these tabs in your Warehouse, with color coding.
  • All items, where you can filter your Gifts and see all your portioned items
  • Gear – your stored Gear (that were randomly in both Warehouse and Gifts in the old design)
  • Decorations – your stored Decorations (that were randomly in both Warehouse and Gifts in the old design)
  • Specials – a tab that holds all your special items, that now includes your Tickets and Vouchers, and that could be a candidate for icon of the year
  • Chests & Trophies – all your Trophies, Chests and Medals
  • Exchange – The exchange from XP bar has moved here, since it’s closer to all your Warehouse items that you can exchange.

The new Shop

The Shop has been completely redesigned, to accommodate more screens and to be easier to read. Below, a comparison between the old Shop (left) and the new one (right).

We kept the same layout of 8 items per window, and color-coded each category, so you instantly know what you’re looking at. Also, the layout can be changed from the 4 squares icon (bottom left).

  1. The Ranch Cash/Coins tab has moved to an all-new place, called Purple Garden. You can access it by clicking on your Coins or RC bars.
  2. Universal Search – you can now type anything you want to search, and it will search it for you, and also search all related items.

All-New Planting Menu

Planting is now easier than ever, with a simplified “Shop” for all your plants!

  1. Can fit up to 12 plants instead of 8, while being smaller. Hover over any plany yo see the info you need, and also click on it to see the details for that plant
  2. It only shows the plants you can plant on that plant bed, to avoid confusion
  3. Has plenty of filtering options, and also you can Sort by Achievement progress!

With increased ease-of-use and smaller size, planting has become easier than ever.

All-New Purple Garden

You can buy Ranch Cash, Coins, and also get a new daily gift from the all-new Purple Garden.

Purple Garden has a very easy to use layout, with one single scrollable row of items and quality animations.

Why is it called universal? Because:

  • in Barn you can type a Sauce Wiz, for example (a Gear), and it shows you all produce that is made by that Gear.
  • in Shop, you can type Mustard, and it shows you the Sauce Wiz.

With Universal Search, you don’t really need filtering, if you’re searching for a specific item. You just type it, and there it is! Or, if you don’t know the name but you know it’s a dessert, just type dessert in your Barn search bar, and you’ll find it immediately!

Search results order (where available), WIP:

  1. exact name match, first word / second word
  2. other produce that uses that searched item
  3. other use cases (if you type a category or subcategory, filtering options, etc.)

What you can type to find results on, a few examples:

Note: depending on where you search, Shop or Barn, these use cases might not prove valid, if the items don’t exist there.
