Just as in real life, when you make a recipe, you don’t use a whole Jar of Honey or Bag of White Sugar, just a few spoons.
All Recipes that were made with Honey are now made either with the new Honey Portions, or with Sugar Portions. For example, Jams are now made with Sugar Portions, as in real life, and Lemonades are made with Honey Portions.
- 1 Jar of Clover Honey = 20 Honey Portions
- 1 Bag of White Sugar = 10 Sugar Portions
Now, Recipes and other Produce show the total amount of Sugar Portions or Honey Portions you have. Here’s an xample:

As you can see, the total Sugar Portions is 1410, as follows:
- From Unopened White Sugar Bags in the Barn: There are 140 unopened White Sugar bags in the Barn, each containing 10 Sugar Portions. Therefore, 140 x 10 = 1400 Sugar Portions.
- From Opened Sugar Bags: An additional 10 Sugar Portions come from partially used (opened) Sugar Bag/s.
Adding these together gives:
1400 Sugar Portions + 10 Sugar Portions = 1410 Sugar Portions in total
Portioned items
If you click the green “See” button under the Portions (see image above), it will take you to the “Portioned items” section.
The Warehouse > Portioned items tab shows only Portions from opened Clover Honey Jars, White Sugar Bags, and Oxy Propane tanks . When the opened Jar of Clover Honey or Bag of White Sugar is empty, a new one will be opened automatically, so you don’t need to do anything.

You can click the blue “Make” button to make more CloverHoney and White Sugar, or, click “Buy” to get another Oxy Propane tank.
You can hover over the blue “Make” button to see your total amount of Portions.
The 21/20 Honey Portions come from 2 opened Clover Honey jars, which is the maximum. When the available Honey Portions in an opened Clover Honey jars get low, the game preemptively opens a new jar to ensure there are enough portions for recipes.
Advantages
- pressure is relieved from the Clover pollination chain (Clover > Cow > Milk > Cheese), by making some recipes use White Sugar instead of Clover Honey
- Goats now eat Alfalfa so even less Clover has to be planted
- 20x less OP (for now), because the Beehives use OP only when they pick up the Honey. This event happens now 20 times less.
The New Clover Honey and the Old Honey
To keep all the Honey that you’ve worked for, we have transformed it into the new Clover Honey, and the total number of Honey Portions you have are equal or more to what you had before. Example:

In this case, the Barn had 16,560 Honey that got transformed into 828 Clover Honey. These 828 Clover Honey jars EACH contain 20 Portions, so the total amount of Honey Portions is 16,560, the same as the Honey that was there previously.
Moreover 1 jar of the old Honey was valued at 5 Coins and the new Clover Honey is 100 Coins (because it contains 20 Portions) so 5 x 20 = 100, which again is the same price as before.
Another advantage is that you can use other types of Honey as well for recipes, not just Clover, since each type costs the same, 100 Coins.
How do I make Sugar?
The Sugar Mill transforms Sugar beets into nice crystals of Sugar. You can find it in the Shop > Gear tab.
Grow the new crop, Sugar Beets, to produce White Sugar.
